Judges 18:23-24

23And they shouted to the people of Dan, who turned around and said to Micah, “What is the matter with you, that you come with such a company?” 24And he said, a“You take my gods that I made and the priest, and go away, and what have I left? How then do you ask me, ‘What is the matter with you?’”

Daniel 6:14-17

14Then bthe king, when he heard these words, cwas much distressed and set his mind to deliver Daniel. And he labored till the sun went down to rescue him. 15Then these men came by agreement to the king and said to the king, “Know, O king, that it is a law of the Medes and Persians that no dinjunction or ordinance that the king establishes can be changed.”

16Then the king commanded, and Daniel was brought and cast into the den of lions. The king declared
Aramaic answered and said; also verse 20
to Daniel, “May fyour God, whom you serve continually, deliver you!”
17 gAnd a stone was brought and laid on the mouth of the den, hand the king sealed it iwith his own signet and with the signet of his jlords, that nothing might be changed concerning Daniel.

Matthew 13:22

22As for what was sown among thorns, this is the one who hears the word, but kthe cares of lthe world and mthe deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and it proves unfruitful.

9And the king was sorry, but because of his oaths and his guests he commanded it to be given.
